post How are YOU?

The summer has gone by so quickly and we haven’t heard from many of you. There are so many ways to keep in touch. The most recently acquired communication “skill” for myself is the text message. Today alone I recieved over 20, which is HUGE!  HUGE  - I say, because not that long ago I said I would never use that application. HAH! Well, even people in their “prime” can change. So please, keep in touch. The Sandwich Fair is coming upon us. We don’t want to miss any opportunities to see you, hear from you, read your e-mail, read your texts. We are still at the shop on Saturdays from 10 - 5, or by appointment, if you can’t make it in on a Saturday. Namaste. . .

Of course this was one of Dad’s favorite songs. He loved Nat King Cole, but who doesn’t? It’s gonna be difficult not hearing his voice or seeing his crazy little smile. I’m so grateful that we have so many photographs. Thanks for your encouragement regarding everything, and I mean everything, all these years, Dad. Love ya, love ya, love ya, as you would say. And I always will, you know.

Dad left this life on Thursday, May 13th at the great age of 86. (As he would say, “only great, not superb.”) I admire your positivity and your overwhelming courage to live every day to the fullest, despite some unsurmountable obstacles! Thank you continually for your inspiration, for your wit, for your love. ‘Till we meet again some day, Dad. Give Mom a huge hug and say hello to everybody. . .

Look for a selection of our Mindful Jewelry at a green boutique near You! Our recycled glass jewelry is on the road with Mylene from KHEOPS. We hope to find our way into your area. If you haven’t seen it yet ask your local proprietor to inquire about carrying some of these cool treasures. With the intention of keeping non-biodegradable glass out of the ground, we have been designing and creating attractive adornments for over 15 years. Formerly only available at art shows and at our shop, this fabulous line will be making its way “out of Dodge”. If you would like more info give us a call or send an e-mail.

Also  - new at M & S, EZOrb. A wonderful calcium supplement, unlike ANY other. call or stop by for detailed information.

Thanks to all who participated in our trek to Frankfort, Il. for Richard Rudis’ Gong Bath on Feb 19th. It was phenomenal, of course. We hope to embark on a regular basis. Next time, some time in April. Care to join us? e-mail, call or stop by to sign up for a ride. Also, thanks to those of you who have been “regulars” at Mindful Conversations. Even with the snow you have been loyal to the gatherings. THANK YOU!!! (Still looking for more ideas, though, and perhaps a different location from time to time - care to host???)

Coming soon (actually Thursday, March 18th) - at Timber Creek Hotel & Suites in Sandwich, the Third Annual Health & Wellness Expo. This event is sponsored by the Plano Area Chamber of Commerce. We will be there rerpesenting the fine healing art of Reiki. Just in time for Valentine’s Day we have a great little selection of some new Natural Healthy products. Our Aromatherapy choices have expanded with the addition of Sun’s Eye Grapefruit Pure Oil, a wonderful, fresh, fragrance to brighten up a dreary grey day. Put a few drops in a mister with some distilled water and spritz your sheets - m-m-m-m-m-m sw-e-e-e-e-t dreams!  We also have some new Ayurvedic bar soaps made with tumeric - very luscious! Feeling kind of “punk” with an annoying cough? Try some Olbas throat drops made with elderberries, very soothing and tasty, too! Watch our Holistic section as it grows through the year. We will be offering more herbal remedies as Mark continues refining his Herbalist skills. Try his Heart Tonic Tea - great for lowering blood pressure and toning the vascular system, even assists with memory loss - just two cups per day! So, it’s 2010, let’s continue to think healthy, practice healthy, live healthy. . .
